I realized not everyone knows the story of how our family came to find out about our pregnancy, so I thought I would share it. For those of you that already know, I think it's funny enough to hear it again.
It was a Sunday morning that I took the home pregnancy tests (yes plural, I took 3 just to make sure). So we decided on Monday I would go to the Dr and have a blood test taken to make it official. Mike is off Monday's, so he golfed with George and Stefan. Since he doesn't take his phone golfing he told me to leave him a voicemail if I got the results back. I refused so I told him just to call me when he was done. That he did, and we're talking for at least a full 5 minutes before he even mentions any of this - he just throws in "Well that cat is already out of the bag. You better start making your phone calls cuz I'm going to make mine". Of course I'm like "what the heck?!?", so this is how he explains...
As I said he golfed with George and their friend Stefan. Stefan's wife happens to be 4 months pregnant. So George told Stefan they should start messing with Mike to get him off his game. Stefan says to Mike "So your wife called my wife last night and told her she was pregnant, and she needed someone to talk to". Mike said his eyes popped and jaw dropped, then after a moment he replied "What? She just found out yesterday?". Then Mike said THEIR eyes popped and jaws dropped, then they all just stared at each other for a minute. I guess George finally said "Are YOU kidding? Cuz WE were kidding.", But Mike and Stefan's faces were still stuck in the :O positions.
