Hi Baby. Today you turned 7 months old. Happy Birthday! No one can believe its already been that long since you've been born. That's just because adults take time for granted. Still, a lot of people comment how alert and attentive you are for your age. Last weekend you, me and Dad had lunch at Fisherman's Market (in Palm Desert) and happened to be seated next to a retired pediatrician. You seemed to like him and his wife. You kept looking over at then and smiling, and they thought you were pretty fancy for your age. Then stuck your whole hand in a ramekin of tartar sauce.
Let's see...since last month you can now use your forefinger and thumb together to pick things up instead of palming them (called pincer grasp), today you pretty much technically crawled, and you also protested (repeatedly) when an object that caught your fancy was taken away from you (my BlackBerry). Oh, and you totally crack up when I tickle you under your arms, or when Dad hums on your belly. When you crack up, everyone cracks up.
Your eyes are still very blue. I'm still surprised. Oh, and you super-love Kitty X. Every time you see him you squeal with delight. He's caught on that you like him, so he likes you now, too. He never disliked you, but now he makes a point to either brush up your highchair when you're in it, and sometimes he meows at you. Earlier this week while you were exploring his fur with your hands, you decided to grab hold of his wiskers for a little longer than X thought was cool. He didn't even get mad at you. The Buds just moved over a few inches so you couldn't reach him that well, but he still wanted to hang out with us. The Buds loves you, too.
Yesterday was my last day of work, yay!
