We went to San Diego last weekend. Stacey & George [and Nikolas] invited us to the mandatory mini-vacation. She got an executive suite at Paradise Point on Vacation Island. It was SO Hawaii! The room was BIG and we all fit quite nicely, but I've seen better hotel bathrooms. Anyway, we went down Fri and went to the outdoor restaurant & listened to the band & stuff, then went to the beach & built a fire for Jessie to roast and throw back marshmallows.
Afterwards, we continued the party at our suite. Later, Stacey & I got in trouble because we left the room to go to the resort market, but we never came back. OK well not "never", but we were gone for a few hours, and when we did come back, we were drunk. Needless to say, the boys were pretty upset with us. We thought it was funny :)
However, Stacey was not laughing Saturday, she was hung over. The boys [minus Nikolas] went golfing at whatever course. So Jessie & I slept in late, played with the baby most of the morning, then rented regular bikes & toured the grounds. Then we rented the "2-man 2-baby bike" [they call it a quad, but you can't fit 4 regular sized butts on it, so I renamed it with a tent-style name] and picked up Chase & Nikolas. Baby kept yelling "din...din" and we drove all around the grounds until I was too exhausted to go din. Chase was not helping me peddle (typical) so I had to provide the power for myself & the 3 kids. Whew, that was a workout. There is a big 81-step observation tower we went up & down, up & down, up & down. Knees!
The next day we rented big bikes again with the rest of our gang and of course had to turn it in to a big race. My team won, in spite of our bad odds. Stacey & George have a lot less weight to push then me, Mike, the kids & half the time Nikolas was on our bike. But as I said, we still won most of the races. We cooled out feet in the ocean and headed to lunch at Joe's Crab Shack in PB. Mike had to work Monday so we skipped our after lunch beach trip & headed home instead.
Monday I took Chase & Jessie, plus their friends Tucker & Erica [respectively] to the mall while I got my nails done. We ate lunch there, then went to the crappy $1 theatres in Cat City and saw "The Animal". That was a lot of kids.
